The public is welcome and encouraged to participate in community events and to take advantage of resources at NIC’s campus locations. 

Gizmo-Cda, Coeur d’Alene's only non-profit makerspace, is a place where ​art, design, technology, and tools are connected by the hands and minds of the people of this community.  

 Safe Start offers safe infant sleep classes, car seat safety classes and more to parents, grandparents, caregivers, and medical professionals.  All of their educational classes and training are evidence-based and based up the latest up to date medical recommendations. 

 The Friends of the Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center was formed in 2011 by a group of backcountry enthusiasts that had a goal to increase avalanche awareness and advisories for the public.

Idaho Fish and Game's mission is to protect, preserve, perpetuate and manage Idaho's wildlife resources.

A 1938 voter initiative created the Idaho Fish and Game Commission structure that governs the agency today.

 The Coeur d’Alene Public Library is committed to excellence in library services. Dedicated to lifelong learning, the library provides free and equal access to a full range of historical, intellectual, and cultural resources.
