To ensure that Sunday Assembly North Idaho remains a positive and respectful community, all participants—including attendees, volunteers, speakers, and organizers—agree to uphold the following principles:

Respect and Inclusivity

  • Treat all individuals with kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • Be mindful of the words you use; avoid language or behavior that is discriminatory, derogatory, or exclusionary.
  • Listen actively and engage in discussions with curiosity and openness.
  • Recognize and honor the diversity of experiences, perspectives, and identities in our community.
  • Differences should not be weaponized but embraced as opportunities for conversation, learning, and connection. We encourage thoughtful, open-minded discussions that allow us to grow together.

Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Unwelcome comments about a person’s appearance, beliefs, or personal choices.
  • Disruptive or aggressive behavior.
  • Hate speech, bullying, or personal attacks.

Physical contact should be consensual. Be mindful of personal space and body language.

Respect people’s privacy. Do not share personal information of others without explicit consent.

Positive Engagement

  • Participate in good faith, and encourage a sense of belonging and community.
  • Engage in discussions and activities in a constructive, solution-focused manner.
  • Support others and contribute to a collaborative and uplifting atmosphere.
  • Follow the format of the assembly and respect the time and contributions of speakers, musicians, and volunteers.

  • Be responsible for your actions and their impact on others.
  • Address conflicts or concerns respectfully and through appropriate channels.
  • If you witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, report it to an organizer.
